I... Don't like this one very much at all. It's too dark. It wasn't meant to be. It was supposed to be old-fashioned. But I'm bad at this sort of thing, and I messed up somewhere. I think it was with the contrast... Because the contrast in this image is too severe. ^^ ;

I'm probably going to end up scrapping this soon. But I needed something up in my gallery besides my art. Which I do not want to be known for. I'd rather be known as a bad photo-manipulator than for my art. I don't like the things I draw. Not my ability(not that I like that either), but the subjects. It's not what I want to draw. But I can't draw what I want to draw. So I'm trying out photo-manipulations. It's... not working.

I actually didn't try very hard to make it look like an old photograph. xD I could have done better. I know ways. I just didn't try hard. Yeeeeah. >.>;;;

This is too dark.

Too. Dark.

I mean that in both senses of the word. Dark in color and in mood. I don't want it to be dark in mood. At all. I was aiming for 'melancholy', per say, but not dark. x.x

I'm going to scrap this soon. =/

I can't draw anything, lately. Or write anything. And I feel really bad about this, but I'm really getting sick of people telling me that my stuff is good. Sorry guys, but I'm not blind. I really appreciate it, I really do, but it's making me really hesitant to upload anything. I hate criticism, but I hate false praise just as much. Funny how I'm a hypocrite, huh? xP

I'm so sorry! I promise, I'll comment on everyones deviations and journals and reply to comments soon! I look at every deviation you post up, every one, and read every single journal. I really do. I'm just too lazy to comment. xD

Edit: Okay, I added a copper gradation at 14% opacity on a separate layer, and it has a bit more of an old, less-dark feel to it now. A bit. I still don't like it, but it's better. :3

...I don't care enough to change the title. xD

I think you're too harsh on yourself! I honestly think that you're a good artist AND photomanipulator. I'm sorry if I'm doing exactly what you don't want people to do, but it's truly not false praise or anything like that. ^^;

And I think you did a pretty good job of making this look like an old photograph...umm....I agree about the contrast kind of being too high...but overall, I like it. ^^

I don't know if this is just me, but it seems that this was heavily influenced by our fabulous Pan's Labyrinth roleplay. Or not, of course.
Regardless, this is pretty good. I mean, it's better that 'whee! horsies and equines! whee!' (no offense)
Muahaha... I shall fave this just 'cause it annoys you. (and because I do like it. and because i'm hoping other people will look in my faves and you shall become famous.) ;D

Actually, this was done about a month ago. ^^; I was debating whether or not to actually post it up. ...For a long time.

I know, I like these better than my equines as well. =/ But, the problem is, I can't draw people, and photo-manipualtions take a long time. x.x

Thanks. :glomp: And it doesn't annoy me. xD At least, not if you do it, because you never favorite anything unless you really do like it.

I know, but if I post an image right after I finish it, I never like it. So I usually wait. That is why I always complain when I immedietly post up an image.

You need to buy a program. Try Photoshop Elements. It's a lot cheaper than Adobe.
